Container loading for South-Africa on October 4
The Global Literacy Team has been able to secure funding for 2 more containers that will be loaded on Saturday October 4th. This will require a few more volunteers than usual. We will be loading 2 containers side by side with furniture and books from pallets. We need a crew inside each container, and a crew that brings goods to the container. Taking this approach will make everything more efficient with less start/stops.
Location: Hensall Co-op, Exeter at the old cannery at the corner of Wellington St and Marlborough.
Time: Beginning at 8:30 am, planned completion 4:30 pm
AM Shift: 8:30-12:30
PM Shift: 12:30-4:30 shift
Full Shift: 8:30-4:30
We are also in need of 10 volunteers for Friday October 3rd to do some furniture disassembly. This work will begin at 8:30 am. Please bring along some screw drivers, sockets for your use.
If you can help on one or both days, please reply and indicate which days and whether you plan to help for the full day, AM or PM shifts so we can plan accordingly.
