We had a grand time last Saturday!  Three of us from Woodstock-Oxford joined the crew in Ingersoll and loaded 2 containers - one headed to Haiti, one to South Africa.

The weather was wonderful and chose to cooperate on a day where a lot of the work was done outside.  Inside the school, the temperature was more like the countries that the supplies were heading to.  Victory Memorial in Ingersoll was the location of our small project.  The cost to ship one container is approximately $5000.  Our club donated $500 towards this, and has provided many volunteers over the last year.

The Rotary Club of Grand Bend spearheaded this project and I believe these were containers 16 & 17.  These containers were loaded with children's desks, chairs, teacher's desks, filing cabinets, wheel chairs, crutches, sleeping mats, and many books!  We even found some books for the adults in some of the boxes which were swiftly given to one of our local ministers to dispose of!

It was a super day and we met Rotarians and volunteers from all over:  London, Grand Bend, Ingersoll, etc.  This was just another example of Rotary making a difference, and we would never succeed without the help and support from all of you!  Thank you!
