Looking for Applicants for GSE Team Leader
 
The Group Study Exchange program is sponsored by the Rotary International Foundation. The idea
behind this exciting program is to give young business and professional men and women between
the ages of 25 and 40 a unique opportunity to experience a cultural and vocational exchange. The program provides
travel grants for a four person team and a Rotarian team leader to travel to RI District 2060 in the area around Vincenza,
Italy from May 12—June 10, 2012.
 
We are looking for an experienced Rotarian who wishes to use her or his team building, leadership and communication
skills to provide guidance and management to an enthusiastic and focused group of  non Rotarian team members be-
tween the ages of 25 and 40.  The exchange requires a month out of the country and preparation for the exchange re-
quires weekly meetings from the time of team member selection to the departure date for the Exchange.

 

 Applicants for Team Leader must be:
  Be available for interviews on November 16th in the evening in Cambridge at AECON and also be avail-
able to participate in a full day selection session to pick team members(8 a.m. to 4 p.m.) on Saturday,
December 3rd  in Cambridge at AECON
  Willing to guide the team in preparation and will  be the Rotarian leader/District representative on the
exchange. . The Team Leader will participate with the GSE Committee in the team’s selection, prepara-
tion for the exchange and will lead the team to presentations in the District after their return. The team
leaders will also need to prepare themselves, by learning, along with the team members, the language,
customs, geography, economics, religion or spirituality, and other basics about the District .

While in Italy, the team members are being hosted by local Rotarians. The chosen team members will study the institu-
tions, the Italian way of life and  observe their own vocations as practiced in Italy.  The program is planned by the host-
ing Rotarians and their clubs.
 
  Applicants must be between the ages 25 and 40
  Be fully employed with at least two years of work experience in their chosen field
  Be personable, articulate, cooperative, motivated team players and enthusiastic about their vocations
  Be a Canadian citizen 
  Be prepared to spend considerable time in preparation for the trip. Team members will give verbal and
audiovisual presentations in Italy
  Can not be related to a Rotarian or be a Rotarian
