Please reserve this date ! May 7, starting at 8 AM at Maple Lane school in Tillsonburg,

we will be loading 2 containers 40 ft long with school supplies from this school. The past year Maple Lane school closed, this school has all kinds of furniture that was not needed anymore. The items are school desks, chairs, books and other items. The Rotary Club of Woodstock-Oxford, Friends of Rotary and with the help of many other Rotary Clubs in the Rotary District 7080 has been able to obtain a Global Grant for the Philippines to refurbish 5 schools that were destroyed by Typhoon Haiyan, the total Global Grant is for $140,000 USD. As part of this Global Grant, we are planning to ship these 2 containers with school supplies to these schools in the Philippines, we will also send some medical equipment and 6-8 pallets of food from the Ontario Christian Gleaners in Cambridge. In the Philippines, in an average year they have 29 Typhoons, so you can imagine the constant need they have. Please sign up to come and help us with the loading of these containers.

We are looking for about 30-35 persons for preparation and loading. We are also looking for some persons to take charge of preparing items for coffee break and lunch time. We are looking for a person or company who is able to donate the use of a tractor trailer with closed Van trailer to pick up about 12 pallets of books from the Thames Valley warehouse in London at 951 LEATHORNE STREET , LONDON, Ontario, N5Z 3M5. on the Friday May 6 or before.
