March 14 meeting: Philippine Typhoon Disaster Relief

Dr Grace Balankig will share a firsthand report on the devastation caused by the recent Typhoon storm and flooding in the Philippines. She recently visited the affected area which is also home to some of her family members. Her brother had one of their family farms wiped out, in addition to over 2000 deaths of friends and neighbours. Her report will include the work of Rotary providing aid in this area, including our local Rotary Canadian donations assisting those in desperate need.
