ImageThis evening we welcome Cpl. Darren Morgan and Sgt. Steve Kielt. They are both leading members of the London Customs and Excise Unit of the RCMP.

Contraband Tobacco has a significant impact on Canadian society. Persons involved in contraband tobacco, including the end users, are undermining global and domestic health objectives, contributing to the expansion of organized crime, inviting criminals into their communities, undermining the local legitimate economy and evading taxes that support Canada’s social programs.

Tackling the illicit tobacco trade requires more than law enforcement, which is why the RCMP and its partners also work together to raise awareness in the public of the consequences of purchasing and possessing contraband tobacco.

Please feel free to come out to this interesting meeting at the Quality Hotels and Suites in Woodstock. As always the meeting will start at 6.30 pm and costs for a meal are $ 15.00
